Purpose is the destination, therefore it provides direction. In other words purpose gives meaning to life. Purpose will lead you in the way God wants you to go. God has already supplied the strength you need to fulfill your purpose. How do we know this because His word declares that "you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you" (Phil. 3:12-14). In taking a deeper look at these verses there are three things that will help us keep running:
1. You have not already attained which means you don't have everything yet.
"Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither enter into the heart of man, the things that God has prepared for them that love him" (1 Corinthians 2:9). Your future is not confined to your present situation -SO KEEP REACHING!
2. You have not already been made perfect which means God is not finished with you yet.
"Being confident of this very thing, that He who hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ" (Philippians 1:6). Don't define who you are by where you are today - SO KEEP REACHING!
3. You are following after Christ in order to apprehend His plan for you which means you have an example to follow.
"Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God." (Hebrews 12:1-2). Follow the leader and you'll finish the race and fulfill your purpose - SO KEEP REACHING!
I encourage you to run, reach and see what the end will be because you are stronger than you think!
