SEPERATE YOURSELF
Genesis 12: 1-4
"Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. So Abram departed, as the LORD had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram [was] seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran."
The first step in man's redemption was for Abraham to separate himself from his land and his father. God needed man to remove himself from the world in order for man to overcome the world. If we are to be free of this world and its sorrows, we need to release ourselves from it. Releasing ourselves from the world means that we do not become entangled of its worries and concerns. All of our problems can be traced back to one thing: our attachment to the world. God wants us to separate ourselves from the world and attach ourselves to Him. When we leave the world behind and come to God, our problems will begin to disappear because we removed ourselves from the cause of them. Today, let's separate ourselves from the world. Three ways we can do this is by reading, studying and obeying God's Word. The Word of God will begin to separate us from all that has or will be a hinderance once we apply the Word of God. The Word will set us free from the attraction of the world and all its baggage. Today why don't you allow the Word of God to do what it does best; release and redeem.
